Summer Workshop for Children (Grades 1 to 7)
Igniting Young Imaginations Every May
Each year in the month of May, the Kanoria Centre for Arts hosts a vibrant and enriching Summer Workshop for Children, designed specially for students from Grades 1 to 7. This much-loved annual program introduces young minds to the joy of artistic exploration and hands-on creativity in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
The workshop encourages children to express themselves freely and confidently through art, developing not only their artistic abilities but also their imagination, observation, and motor skills. Whether your child is already passionate about art or just beginning to explore, this program offers a perfect entry point into the world of creative learning.
Participants are introduced to a variety of artistic mediums and techniques including:

Drawing and Painting – Exploring colour, form, and composition

Collography – A playful introduction to printmaking using textures and layers

Shibori – Traditional Japanese tie-dye techniques with a contemporary twist

Terracotta – Working with clay to create sculptural pieces and masks

Mask Making – Bringing imagination to life through vibrant, handmade masks

Calligraphy – Learning the beauty of letters through the art of elegant writing

Macramé – Crafting decorative pieces through creative knotting techniques
Led by experienced artists and facilitators, the workshop is designed to be interactive, joyful, and deeply engaging, providing children with the opportunity to experiment, make, and learn through doing.
