Located within the Kanoria Centre for Arts and designed by the Late renowned architect B.V. Doshi, Urmila Art Gallery is a professionally equipped exhibition space in the heart of Ahmedabad. Since its opening in 2011, the gallery has become a preferred venue for contemporary art exhibitions, offering a spacious, air-conditioned environment with expert support and excellent visibility within the city’s cultural landscape.

Facilities & Features

Urmila Art Gallery offers 144 sq. m of professionally equipped exhibition space. Fully air-conditioned and fitted with gallery-grade lighting, it also supports video and slide projection for multimedia displays. The gallery’s calm, green surroundings and proximity to cultural landmarks such as CEPT University and Amdavad ni Gufa make it an ideal location for solo and group exhibitions. Artists also benefit from support in installation, publicity, and event planning provided by our experienced in-house team.

Booking Information

To book an exhibition at the Urmila Art Gallery, applicants must email the following details:

  • A minimum of 5 images of the artworks intended for display
  • Bio or CV of the artist(s)
  • Proposed dates for the exhibition
  • Full contact information

Exhibition Timings & Charges

  • 4 PM to 8 PM – ₹3,500 per day + GST
  • 12 PM to 8 PM – ₹7,000 per day + GST

Outdoor display areas are also available on request.

Gallery charges include a dedicated coordinator during exhibition hours, promotion on the KCA website, and zero commission on sales.

The gallery team can assist with:

  • Coordinating press and media coverage
  • Planning and managing preview or launch events
